  • Put no money into Wasps RFC

  • Put no money into the sponsors and partners of Wasps RFC

...until Wasps show they'll work as part of the city's sporting fabric, rather than destroying it.

Welcome to #ToxicWasps

#ToxicWasps is a pledge by the people of Coventry, and the people who care about Coventry, to:

The Pledge

The Pledge
What Must Wasps Do?

Coventry's sporting heritage is important to the people of the city. We won't hand over our cash to an entity who are willing to bulldoze it for their own gain.

And therefore, those making the #ToxicWasps pledge will:

  • Put no money into Wasps RFC

  • Put no money into the sponsors and partners of Wasps RFC

..until Wasps show they'll work as part of the city's sporting fabric, rather than destroying it.

What Must Wasps Do?

#ToxicWasps will continue to withold money from Wasps and their sponsors until:

  1. Wasps RFC withdraw plans which displace CCFC at the Alan Higgs Centre

  2. Wasps RFC return to the table to discuss CCFC's long-term Ricoh Arena tenancy

We want Wasps RFC to demonstrate they're not just in Coventry to exploit the city and community for profit. They need to show a willingness to co-exist with the city's historical sporting entities, rather than working in a way which hampers them.

The above two points are considered minimum requirements to demonstrate this.

What Can You Do?

Are from Coventry, or do you care about Coventry? Do you believe that Coventry's historic sports clubs should be protected from a commercial entity agressively damaging their ability to operate in the area?

If yes, here is what you can do to make a difference:

  1. Don't buy
Don't buy Wasps tickets or Wasps merchandise,
or from any Club Partners of Wasps

  2. Write letters
Write to Wasps and their sponsors to let them know you're doing this

  3. Spread the word
Let everybody know you're doing this, and ask them to join you
